Rao Unnava, who retired in June as dean of the Graduate School of Management, and his wife, Vasundhara, a former business lecturer, were on a retirement trip when the flooding hit.
Friends say the couple had been excited about the trip.

"I was just like, well (they're) my friends, you know? I was just, like, heartbroken. I had lunch with him just before his trip, and so we just, you know, I was, we were celebrating his retirement, and he told me he was excited about this trip," said Jean-Francois Coget, Rao Unnava's friend.
Friends and family believe the couple had just crossed into Tibet when the flooding started.
More than 1,000 people were killed in the floods, and more than 4,000 are still unaccounted for.
