SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The next-generation of navigational devices for your car will be unveiled tonight and they're a huge leap forward.
We had one installed in an ABC7 News car in advance of its release.

The device is so secret we can't show you its features or even tell you who'behind it.
However, we can tell you 7 On Your Side's Michael Finney had a chance to test it out and to call it just a GPS would be an understatement.
There's been so much buzz about this that 20,000 people have pre-ordered it without even seeing it first. "A friend of mind told me about the beta program and I said, 'oh this is perfect, this is exactly what I need,"' San Francisco resident Lisa Fung said.

A local optometrist is also expecting good things. "I think it's a good step because it will probably lead to less accidents," optometrist Chris Hiura said.
