Oakland police investigating fatal shooting in San Antonio neighborhood

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Oakland police are investigating a fatal shooting Monday morning in the city's San Antonio neighborhood.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert just after 10:30 a.m. in the 2000 block of 23rd Avenue, where they found a person with a gunshot wound.

The victim, whose name wasn't released, died at the scene, police said.
