HALF MOON BAY, Calif. (KGO) -- Growing pumpkins is serious business this time of year in Half Moon Bay. This year's winner, Napa's John Hawkley, set a North American record with a pumpkin weighing 2,058. He also received a check for more than $12,000. The winner gets a check for $6 per pound.
