1993's "Mrs. Doubtfire" and 1989's "Dead Poets Society" will debut on 4K Digital and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, allowing fans to rediscover the two movies in breathtaking picture and sound quality.
Peter Weir directed "Dead Poets Society," where Williams played James Keating, an English teacher who uses poetry to inspire his students to "Carpe Diem!" His performance earned the late actor an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 62nd Academy Awards in 1990.
Just a few years later, Williams nailed his comedic performance as Daniel Hillard and Mrs. Euphegenia Doubtfire in Chris Columbus' "Mrs. Doubtfire." The role scored Williams the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy in 1994.
The stunning 4K release of the two classic movies offers a unique opportunity for audiences to discover the stories for the first time at home in enhanced visual and audio design.
The releases include 4K resolution, High Dynamic Range (HDR), wider color spectrum and immersive audio. Both films will be available in 4K for the first time on digital platforms. The 4K Ultra HD releases will feature new key art, and "Mrs. Doubtfire" fans will enjoy collectible 4K UHD physical packaging that showcases dual art of Williams as Mrs. Doubtfire on the outer sleeve and a reveal of his character Daniel Hillard underneath.
