Roblox made the announcement just a month after rolling it out here in the U.S.
This is part of the company's crackdown on in-app communication between users, with many states and families accusing Roblox of becoming a hunting ground for predators

There are three tiers for the age-based accounts:
- Roblox Kids for ages 5 through 8
- Roblox Select for ages 9 through 15
- Standard Roblox account for ages 16 and up
Roblox said chat remains disabled for users younger than 9 years old and that age checks are required to use chat features. Parents will be able to adjust settings for children until they turn 16.
