TIMELINE: Rain returns to North Bay Tuesday; then becomes widespread, stronger winds by end of week

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Our weekslong dry spell will end this week as a wet weather pattern will begin with spotty showers starting Tuesday afternoon.

TUESDAY



Spotty afternoon and evening showers mainly in the North Bay. But a few showers may work their way south and east of the Golden Gate before day's end.

WEDNESDAY



It will be a light Level 1 on the exclusive ABC7 Storm Impact Scale on Wednesday morning with scattered showers.





Rainfall estimates Tuesday - Wednesday will few hundredths to .20".





We can expect steadier, more widespread rain on Friday and Saturday--possibly accompanied by gusty winds.

THURSDAY



We get a break from the rain.

FRIDAY



Level 1 storm - widespread rain arrives Friday night, winds increase.



SATURDAY



Level 1 storm Saturday with overnight, morning showers.



SUNDAY



Level 1 storm Sunday with rain, gusty winds.



MONDAY, DEC. 22



Level 1 storm with rain to showers.
