SAN JOSE, Calif. -- A San Jose driver was sentenced to 60 days in Santa Clara County jail after dashcam footage showed him intentionally causing a road-rage crash, authorities said.

The incident occurred in January 2025. Video of the crash showed the man deliberately pulling his Jeep in front of a semi-truck and slamming on the brakes before the truck struck the vehicle.

According to prosecutors, the man believed the semi-truck driver had cut him off. Prosecutors said he then moved in front of the truck, leading to the collision.

He was also found guilty of felony insurance fraud, felony vandalism and reckless driving.
