The massive airship, created by LTA Research, aims to kickstart an era of climate-friendly air travel that can potentially carry tons of cargo over hundreds of miles.
LTA Research, which is funded by Google cofounder Sergey Brin, has been conducting flights since last October, first at Moffett Field, then over San Francisco Bay.
The Pathfinder is twice the size of the Goodyear blimp and the largest airship built since the Hindenburg.
