SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee toured the refurbished building on Kearny Street near Union Square.

It will house 130 formerly homeless vets. Each room has its own bathroom and kitchenette.

Tenants will only pay 30-percent of their income on rent.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development is paying most of the lease.
