Signs for 'Willie Mays Highway' posted on I-80 in San Francisco on late Giants legend's birthday

Giants fans driving westbound on I-80 to Oracle Park will now see new signage for the "Willie Mays Memorial Highway," posted Wednesday, which would have been the Say Hey Kid's 95th birthday.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Giants fans driving westbound on Interstate 80 to Oracle Park will now see new signage for the "Willie Mays Memorial Highway."

Caltrans posted photos of the signs, celebrating the Hall of Famer's birthday and legacy.

The "Say Hey! Foundation" paid for the signs.

The Giants are remembering Mays on Wednesday, which would have been his 95th birthday.

Mays passed away in June of 2024.
