A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing man believed to be heading to the Bay Area.
Edward Matson has dementia and was last seen in Carlsbad, just north of San Diego.

But police say the 80-year-old may be heading to Northern California.
Matson was last seen in a Boonie hat, a flower print shirt and tan shorts. He was also carrying a briefcase if you see him, call police.
