The school was put on lockdown after police received a 911 call that a student displayed a gun.
OPD Assistant Chief James Beere said at the scene that there does not seem to be any merit to the report.

The school immediately followed protocols and contacted OPD, which responded to the campus. Staff and officials were able to identify some students who may have been involved, but police have not found or seen any gun.
They also say no gun was able to be seen on security footage.
Police searched the school out of an abundance of caution and say the students were cooperating.
Police have since cleared the scene and Oakland Unified said "school operations are back to normal."
