New study reveals watching fast-paced films leads to mindless eating

The next time you go to the movies, you may want to be more selective about what you watch.

A new study from Cornell University finds people who watch fast-paced films tend to eat more snacks than those who go for slower-moving films.

Researchers say people who watch action-packed thrillers consume about 65-percent more calories.

The theory is viewers tend to be more distracted by all the action in the movie, which leads to more mindless eating.
