MARTINEZ, Calif. (KGO) -- There's a new baby critter in downtown Martinez.
The beaver kit and its mother have been spotted taking a swim in Alhambra Creek.
Moses Silva captured video of the beavers at one of their most active times -- three in the morning.
This marks the eighth year a beaver's been born in Martinez since they moved in back in 2006.
The beavers attracted widespread attention when fears arose that their dam could trigger flooding. But engineers came up with a plan to reduce the risk.
