From the video description:

"Talking with them over the last few months, I was able to find out that Hawaii is the one place they'd really like to go for a vacation. My mother had told me this was not going to happen in her lifetime, seeing as it was way too expensive for them and their bills took financial priority.

This really hurt to hear, as my mother did the best she could her entire life to provide for my sister and I and give me the opportunities in life that I wanted. Even though I feel I owe them both so much more, I felt this was a good way of saying thank you."

Nick told ABC that Leo and Rosemary will be spending 12 days in Hawaii, and hope to see a little bit of everything.

"Both my dad and I served in the military, so I know he was looking forward to seeing the Pearl Harbor Memorial," Nick told ABC. "My mother wanted to see the volcanoes and landscapes more than anything."

Nick said he was able to afford the trip through his savings and his tax return from the past year.

"They're great people, and I don't say that because they are my family. They're just honest and caring people. Granted no one is perfect, I still couldn't of [sic] ever had a better mother and father than they were to me."
