Locally, there's a peninsula barber who has turned a classic haircut into viral content.
"How'd you find out about me?" the video starts. "On TikTok," the young client responds.
"Do you go to De La Salle High School?" another video shows.

A third begins with the question, "You stay out here in San Mateo, California?"
His questions and his content are making algorithms across the Bay Area and beyond. Known online as Beasty Cutz, Ritz Bautista is blowing up on social media over a classic style.
"Let me guess, are we doing the TikTok special?" he asks one kid. As other videos show clients saying the simple answer, "The TikTok special.
"It's usually a blowout taper, texture fringe on top - where kids have it messy on top," Bautista told ABC7. "And yeah, that's the TikTok special."
His social media success was born out of a mentorship program, with Bautista being challenged to try a different approach to marketing his skills and services. It's a strategy that's clearly paying off.
With back-to-school season around the corner, the "TikTok special" is keeping him especially busy. Bautista said he books appointments three weeks in advance.
"What made you drive an hour for a haircut?" he asked one client. "Instagram."
Another said, "I saw you on Instagram, bro."
"I saw your videos on TikTok," another answered.
From Instagram to the classroom, beyond the all-important education - many kids admitted that first day of school prep involves a little extra attention to their fit, shoes and style.
"For me," Bautista shared, "Honestly, haircuts were definitely a confidence booster."
And he's come full circle at Full Circle barbershop in San Mateo.
"You ready for your transformation?" is asked of every client featured in his viral videos, before the big haircut reveal.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Bautista said he first picked up clippers in high school to give his dad a haircut. The clippers he used early on once belonged to his grandfather, who cut hair in the Navy.
A special start for his career; now he's cutting hair for special occasions.
"You see them walk out the shop, chest up," Bautista reflected. "Chin up, like so excited."
The repetition of his content is improving his reach.
"Are you from here in San Mateo?" he asked. "No, I'm from Oakland."
In videos shared with ABC7, others have answered Sacramento, San Diego, and Arizona.
"I live in Slovakia," one client said.
Bautista explained, "I had two kids that traveled all the way from Slovakia."
"How far is that from here?" he asked. "14 hours."
As children get back into the classroom, if you notice a student with a blowout taper with texture fringe on top - just know that the kids call it the TikTok special.
