The Bay Area saw some afternoon sunshine to end the weekend, but cloud cover returns to the bay shoreline tonight around 10 p.m. and will continue to move farther inland, lingering across the region into the morning on Monday. As the marine layer deepens, there is potential for drizzle overnight tonight at the coast and that drizzle could linger into the early morning hours Monday.
A Look Ahead
The cooling trend will continue through mid-week. Tuesday is expected to be the coolest day of the week with daytime highs expected to be 10 to 20 degrees below normal for this time of year. There is potential for rain late in the week, especially across the North Bay.
