Wife of Orlando nightclub gunman pleads not guilty to terrorism charges

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- The wife of the Orlando nightclub gunman pleaded not guilty to federal terrorism charges on Wednesday.

ABC7 News was at federal court in Oakland when Noor Salman's uncle tried to bring her clothes after she made her plea, saying he wanted her to stay warm in jail.

The FBI arrested Salman in Rodeo on Monday. Prosecutors believe she knew her husband, Omar Mateen, planned to attack the Pulse nightclub.



Forty-nine people died in the attack last June and her husband was killed by police.

Salman will return to court in two weeks for a bail hearing. At some point, her case could be moved to Florida.
