Quail Fire now 1,800 acres, evacuations lifted in Solano County, CAL FIRE says

SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- Crews are battling a wildfire in Solano County that has burned at least 1,800 acres and prompted evacuations that have since been lifted as of Sunday at 5 p.m.



CAL FIRE says the Quail Fire is burning off of Quail Canyon and Pleasant Valley Road just outside of Winters and is now 40 percent contained.

The fire started around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Mandatory evacuations have been lifted in the area on Quail Canyon Road from Pleasants Valley Road to Highway 128, according to CAL FIRE.

CAL FIRE says at least 100 structures are threatened. Three structures have been destroyed, officials said Sunday.

Firefighters delt with windy conditions during Saturday evening operations. Winds are expected to pick up again Sunday evening and fire crews are currently preforming tactical patrols, constructing
containment lines, and mopping up hot spots, CAL FIRE said.

Six-hundred fire personnel have responded to this fire.

No firefighters have been injured.
