One-hundred firefighters battled the blaze, which was first announced at 8:30 p.m. and involves a three-story apartment complex at 1279 8th Ave and the 700 block of Irving Street.

Captain Jonathan Baxter said there is also a hardware store involved in the fire as well as a shed behind the store. The department reported heavy flames coming from the second story of the apartment complex at 8:30 p.m.
Baxter said there are no injuries reported, but an unknown amount of people are displaced. The Red Cross will assist anyone who is displaced as a result of the fire, he said.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
