Some fans outside AT&T Park said they hadn't heard the news.
"I hope he's okay he's a big part of the team I mean he makes some great decisions out there so I hope he comes back relaxed and takes care of the heart," said a fan named Alfredo.
In a statement, the team writes, "...Bochy will be resting comfortably at his home tonight. He will rejoin the team in Colorado on Friday."

"Man and it was just his birthday Easter. Man, get well Bruce you know what we mean, we love you, we love all the things you did for the team man, brought us back to redemption," said fan Talafili Sala.

The San Francisco Giants tweeted "Prayers for Boch."
"Now I've got to get on my Facebook and put a shout-out to him," said Sala.
The team says Bench Coach Ron Wotus will assume managerial duties during the two-game series in Kansas City.
