Cal Fire mopping up after brush fire in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Cal Fire is mopping up a 40-acre brush fire this afternoon in south San Jose.

The blaze started around two Sunday afternoon on Monterey Street.

According to Cal Fire, the smoke was so thick CHP was forced to shut down a portion of Highway 101 near Coyote Creek Golf Drive because of smoke blowing across the lanes.
