SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco Police Department announced during a press briefing Saturday that they have made arrests in three different homicides.

One was a stabbing at 15th and South Van Ness Friday night. Another, a stabbing in the Tenderloin last week. The third was back in April at 24th and Potrero.

"It's not typical that we have four murder suspects arrested in the span of a few days on three different cases. So we want to highlight the good work that is being done, and let the public know how hard we are working to make sure that we keep San Francisco a safe city," SFPD Chief Bill Scott said.

The chief says there have been 20 homicides in San Francisco so far this year.

Last year there were 18 homicides through the end of May.
