The 3-alarm fire was first reported at 3:41 p.m. in the 700 block of Divisadero and Haight streets. SFFD says the building is a multi-residential and commercial unit.
Firefighters say the building was being painted, which is why you see those black tarps on the side.
There are five residential units and a Thai restaurant on the ground floor.
SFFD says 12 people are displaced, but no one was hurt.
The fire is causing delays on three Muni bus routes -- the 6, 7 and 24.
