SFPD say he was removed from direct contact with the public during the course of the investigation which began around February.

Enea was a 10-year-veteran of the department and is an Antioch resident. Contra Costa County's Senior Deputy District Attorney says he's facing one count of child pornography because the images were connected to one device-- Enea 's personal computer along with external drives.

"The fact that it's a police officer that's been trained and understands the victimization of our youth that they would even look at this or have this it shakes you to your core a little bit," said Paul Graves, Contra Costa County Senior Deputy District Attorney.

Enea is married and has two children. He posted $100,000 bail. SFPD says he's been suspended without pay.
