Suspect in custody following stabbing near Oakland's Skyline High School, police say

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A suspect is in custody following a stabbing near Skyline High School in Oakland, police said on Wednesday.

Police say the suspect and victim are juveniles and students of Skyline High School.

The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. along the 12200 block of Skyline Boulevard.

The victim was found suffering from a stab wound and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

Police are investigating to see if there's a connection between suspect and the victim.

ABC7 confirmed there was no lockdown in effect following the stabbing.
