SAN FRANCISCO - Hundreds of Bay Area students got a boost for their resumes this summer thanks to a special jobs program.
Around 60 employers took part in the Mayor's Youth Jobs and Resource Fair Saturday including LinkedIn, Gap, Macy's and Ghirardelli.
The fair was set up to help many under-served teenagers get their careers going.
"We've got city jobs available for young people. We've got resume writing. We'll do workshops for them. We're getting them mock interviews. We're doing real interviews. So, some of the young people will actually walk away with jobs today," Hydra Mendoza told ABC7.
The program has helped more than 32,000 teenagers connect to jobs and internships since it started five years ago.
