San Francisco teens travel to West Africa with San Francisco Police Department

A group of San Francisco teenagers are headed halfway across the world to Ghana in West Africa. The group is being accompanied by a group of San Francisco police officers as a part of a mentoring program.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A group of San Francisco teenagers are headed halfway across the world to West Africa.

The group left Thursday morning from SFO heading to Ghana.

They're going with San Francisco police officers - not because they expect something bad to happen, but because of the possibilities of something good.
