OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Oakland city workers are back at work and one of the biggest tasks at hand is resuming clean-up of homeless encampments.

Workers cleaned up an encampment at 6th and Castro Streets in West Oakland.

These services along with many others were put on hiatus when three-thousand city workers walked off the job for seven days.

A mediator broke the stalemate between the unions and the city, but a final agreement has not been reached.
