OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant is making good progress healing from a recent knee injury, according to the team.
Durant has been out indefinitely after he sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee and bruised a bone in his leg during a game in Washington.

The All-Star forward hyperextended his knee early in the Warriors' 112-108 loss to the Wizards before undergoing an MRI, which revealed a Grade 2, or moderate, sprain in the knee and a bruised tibia.
"Kevin has made very good progress since suffering the injury four weeks ago in Washington. He has not experienced any setbacks to date," the team said in a statement Wednesday. "His eventual return to contact drills and practice will be predicated upon his progress to the increased intensity of his workouts, and a return to game action prior to the end of the regular season remains a possibility."

Durant is scheduled to be re-evaluated in seven to 10 days.
