ANTIOCH, Calif. (KGO) -- An Antioch mother is furious at the city after city work crews removed illegal speed bumps she put in during funeral services for her son Monday.

Timothy Hudson was the victim of a hit-and-run accident along West 11th Street near L Street last month. Family members installed a set of speed bumps along part of the street where he was hit to prevent another tragedy. But the bumps were removed by the city yesterday, during the 47-year-old man's funeral services.

City officials apologized for the poor timing, and said they did not know burial services were planned at the same time they went to work.
