The roadway is clear after a fatal collision prompted the California Highway Patrol to conduct one-way traffic control this afternoon on state Highway 1 just north of Tunitas Creek Road in an unincorporated area of San Mateo County.

The crash was reported at 1:37 p.m. and a Sig-alert for the area was issued at 2:31 p.m., said CHP Officer Aaron Quistad.

Preliminary reports indicate that a motorcycle and up to three other vehicles were involved in the crash, Quistad said.

One person was killed in the collision and three others have been transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries, Quistad said. The Sig-alert was lifted at 5:36 p.m., according to the CHP.
