The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and the Sunset Scavenger Company are sponsoring the Earth Day event, Party for the Planet. About a dozen local organizations will entertain the children with displays, games and keeper talks until about 5 p.m.
The zoo will also set up an electronic waste recycling station at the South Gate.
