The 18-month old child somehow fell out a window in a building in San Mateo, on Palm Avenue and South Boulevard. The child apparently landed on a paved walkway below.
He was transported to Stanford Medical Center. The toddler is suffering from severe brain trauma. It was a 19 foot fall. They don't know what circumstances led up to the accident, but we do know it's been a warm day and people are leaving their windows open, so the fire department says, that is why it s important to make sure window screens are on secure to make sure that an accident doesn't happen like this again.
