Listen and/or subscribe to our podcasts

There are three ways to listen to this podcast. The first option allows you to listen to the stream directly from this page by clicking on an MP3 link, the other two options involve subscribing to the podcast so that new podcasts are automatically downloaded to your PC or MP3 device.

Option #1: Listen to this week's podcast from our site. (See audio link above).

Option #2: Subscribe to the podcast through podcasting software (other than iTunes) so that it automatically downloads each week when there is a new episode. (See bottom of this page for suggested free software). Just copy the URL below into your podcasting software as the feed you would like to subscribe to:
http://abclocal.go.com/three/kgo/podcast/abc7_weekend_podcast.xml

Option #3: Subscribe to the podcast through iTunes. First, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (which incorporates podcasting). You can download it for free here. In iTunes, click on the "Advanced" tab in the menu options. Next click on "Subscribe to podcast." Now input the following URL into the URL box:
http://abclocal.go.com/three/kgo/podcast/abc7_weekend_itunes_podcast.xml

Once you've subscribed to a podcast, new episodes will be automatically downloaded through your software. Remember, if you choose option #1, you can only listen to the current podcast and cannot receive automatic downloads or updates.

More about Podcasting

What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is the latest in on-the-go, on-demand technology. With podcasting, you can listen to radio programs or events whenever and wherever you choose. Podcasts are MP3 audio files that are automatically downloaded to your personal computer, and then transferred to an iPod or other MP3 player using a podcasting application.

What equipment do I need?
The basic requirements for podcasting are a computer (PC or Mac), podcasting software (see list of options) and an Internet connection. For portability, an iPod or other MP3 player is needed.

How do I get started?
Simply download and install podcasting software onto your computer. Although applications vary, each should provide instructions on how to add podcast feeds to your list. Then, just check for the new podcasts and MP3s of your selected programs that will be on your computer and, if you are set up, on your MP3 player.
