Appetizer:
Mixed green salad with shaved onion, baby frisee, fresh mandarin oranges with a Samuel Adams honey mustard dressing.
Paired with Samuel Adams Summer Ale.
Summer Ale is brewed with wheat malt, lemon zest and grains of paradise. Overall summer styled ales are lighter on the palate and if they contain citrus flavors, they will work well with salads, zesty appetizers and tangy sauces.
Entrée:
Samuel Adams brined Niman Ranch Pork chop served with a Tillamook cheddar and scallion potato cake, caramelized brussel sprouts and a Samuel Adams stone ground mustard ale sauce.
Paired with Samuel Adams Boston Lager.
Lager usually offer a caramel sweetness with a distinct citrus and piney notes. Lagers typically display a full flavored robustness which works well with pork, chicken and meat and potatoes.
Dessert:
Chocolate fondant cake served with a Samuel Adams stout chocolate creme anglaise.
Paired with Samuel Adams Cream Stout
True cream stouts work well with dessert as they balance body and sweetness. Stouts with traditional English hops and chocolate and caramel malts like ours highlight the rich chocolate in desserts such as this fondant cake.

About Grant Wood:
Samuel Adams Master Brewer Grant Wood traces his roots as a brewer back to Texas, where he began brewing before joining Samuel Adams in the mid-nineties. Wood's infectious passion for beer and pushing the envelope in brewing has made him an invaluable part of the Sam Adams family.
Wood began experimenting with extreme brewing by spearheading the creation of Samuel Adams Millennium (21 percent ABV) as well as Samuel Adams Utopias MMII® (24 percent), Samuel Adams Utopias® (25.6 percent) and most recently with the 2007 batch of Samuel Adams Utopias (27 percent ABV). His hands on approach to brewing includes selecting ingredients and watching over the brewing and aging process every step of the way. Wood works closely with Jim Koch, founder of The Boston Beer Company and Brewer of Samuel Adams, to hand craft a variety of full-flavored beer styles that uphold high quality standards.
Wood is an advocate of food and beer pairings, and has acted as a beer pairing consultant to many Samuel Adams accounts for their menu selections. And when Wood is not brewing or thinking up the next beer innovation, he performs in community theater and enjoys pursuing his acting hobby.
