The Environmental Defense Fund issued a report called "Making 'Green' The New "Business as Usual.'"
It highlights the environmental innovations of companies such as Sun Microsystems of Santa Clara, which allows half its employees to work from home.
"The fact that we now have 18,000 employees across the world who are able to stay off the highway, not only means they are saving the planet by not producing the co2 emissions they would otherwise be producing, they're also able to save the time, save the energy, and save the frustration, for those of you who have sat in a traffic jam, more than half of our folks don't have to deal with that," said Jonathan Schwartz from Sun Microsystems.
The EDF believes its report contains innovations that can be used right now, allowing a wide array of companies to be more environmentally friendly.
