Pasadena police conduct covert hooker arrests

16 men, 3 women arrested in sting

Undercover Pasadena police officers were busy last night along Colorado Boulevard. The officers posed as prostitutes and arrested 16 men and three women.

The arrests bring the year's total to 95.

If convicted, they can be sentenced to as much as six months in jail and be fined up to $500.

They must also be tested for HIV and take classes on sexually transmitted diseases.

Pasadena police said the operation was in response to taxpayer complaints.
