Truck and VTA light rail train collide

SAN JOSE, CA

The collision occurred at 11:43 a.m. when the truck driver allegedly turned in front of the northbound train at Rosemary and North First streets, authority spokeswoman Linh Hoang said.

The driver was transported to a local hospital and Hoang did not know of any passengers that reported injuries.

A bus bridge was being provided this afternoon for northbound commuters at the Karina and Gish stations in San Jose because the tracks were blocked, she said. Passengers can expect minor delays, she said.
