Early morning earthquake hits Santa Rosa

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.6 struck at about 3:45 a.m. today in Sonoma County.

According to the USGS, the earthquake had a depth of 6.5 miles and was centered 4 miles southeast of Santa Rosa and 5 miles north of Rohnert Park.
