No TB cases found following Kaiser exposure

SAN FRANCISCO

Doctors have tested over 300 of the 960 mothers and babies that were possibly exposed.

Kaiser does not expect any of the patients to test positive, but some children will be given precautionary antibiotics.

The flood of testing comes after Kaiser discovered last week that a maternity ward nurse had active TB. The nurse no longer works at the hospital.

Kaiser is in the process of notifying anyone that may have come into contact with the nurse.
