Reiser to be sentenced for wife's murder

At 11 am Friday morning, convicted murderer Hans Reiser will learn how long he'll spend in prison on murder charges.

In July, Reiser was convicted of murdering his estranged wife Nina.

The 44-year-old Reiser already had his sentencing put off after striking a post-verdict deal to reduce his conviction by showing authorities where he buried Nina's body.

In return his charges were reduced to second degree murder.

Ironically, Reiser was offered a better deal before a jury found him guilty. In that deal his charges would have been reduced to manslaughter and he would have been eligible to be released in as little as a year.

On Friday, he faces the possibility of 15 years to life.
