There is a good chance your refrigerator is an energy hog, but how can you know for sure? There is a quick way you can rate your fridge.

If your refrigerator is older than 10 years, it is likely costing you a lot of money to run. So how much does it cost to run? To find out, try the government's Refrigerator Retirement Savings Calculator.

"If you are looking for a good place to start and really see a difference in your energy bills, get rid of that old refrigerator, and make sure and recycle it properly. PG&E will give you $35 to recycle your refrigerator," says Katie Roman with PG&E.
