Lanes on eastbound Hwy 237 cleared

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA

The incident was reported at about 6:05 a.m. just east of southbound state Highway 85, according to CHP Officer A. Paulson. A motorcycle rear-ended a lawn maintenance truck carrying fertilizer and then burst into flames. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the roadway and the Santa Clara County coroner responded to the incident.

The driver of the truck was uninjured, Paulson said.

A Sig-alert for the two eastbound lanes of Highway 237 was issued at about 6:35 a.m. The roadway was reopened and the Sig-alert was canceled at 9:42 a.m.
