Inspired by the ancient Romans' slant on beauty and wellness Acqua di Roma blends long-standing traditions with a commitment to today's advances in technology. Acqua di Roma re-creates the healing properties of ancient Italian thermaes, or hot springs, where people sought treatments for beauty, relaxation and well-being. For centuries, the natural and organic ingredients of Italy's lavish countryside and Mediterranean Sea were not solely garnered for the act of consuming, but also for beauty and wellness.
Acqua di Roma combines the ancient healing wisdom of the father of Western Medicine, Hippocrates, with exclusively cutting-edge science to bring you the world's first truly integrated beauty and wellness system ~ Integree. The Integree beauty methodology was created in 1979 by Dr. Carlo Barrella, founder of our sister spa Palazzo Ben Essere, Italy's premiere health spa. For over 25 years, Integree treatments have been perfected in hundreds of clinics throughout the world, providing real results through non-invasive treatments. Acqua di Roma in San Francisco is the first spa in the United States to feature this profound methodology.
About Gian-Paolo Veronese:
Gian-Paolo Veronese is a member of San Francisco's illustrious Alioto family. The grandson of patriarch Mayor Joseph Alioto and the son of Angela Alioto and Adolfo Veronese, Gian-Paolo was raised with a strong sense of San Francisco's rich cultural traditions. Acqua di Roma is the culmination of Veronese's long-time vision of bringing the holistic well-being and sumptuous décor typical of the most exclusive Italian spas to San Francisco, having spent a great deal of his childhood in Italy.
Veronese is a successful San Francisco businessman and investor with considerable experience in corporate management. For several years, he managed the law offices of Joseph L. Alioto and Angela Alioto, the family's multi-million-dollar law firm. In 2003, he launched Vero Solutions, a management consulting firm that specializes in helping small businesses thrive. He received his B.A. in International Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami Business School in 1999. He also attended Exeter College at Oxford University and the University of Leonardo Di Vinci in Florence.
About Alma Arciniegas:
Alma Arciniegas is the founder and owner of Alma European Skin Care of San Francisco. She is a highly renowned aesthetician and skilled practitioner of numerous holistic skin care methodologies, and health and beauty treatments. Over the past two decades, Arciniegas has built her business into one of San Francisco's most successful practices by providing clients with customized service and the best in European methodologies for beauty and wellness.
Originally trained in Barcelona, Spain at the Institute of Aesthetics and Medicine, Arciniegas has received additional training from Intégrée International, the world's first truly integrated beauty and wellness system developed by Italy's renowned Dr. Carlo Barrella. Arciniegas has extensive training in aromatherapy and ayurvedic therapies. She has studied extensively at European clinics of biomedicine and aesthetics. Her approach to skin and body is holistic and integrative. She specializes in treating acne, skin rejuvenation, detoxification and cellulite reduction. After years of practice, Arciniegas decided to develop her own product line based on ayurvedic principles and essential oils, which she will also continue to provide at Acqua di Roma.
