Four teenagers were traveling in the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado just before 9 a.m. when the driver lost control on a curve on First Avenue south of Hagen Road, the CHP reported.
The truck struck a power pole and came to rest on its roof. The front passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is under investigation.
