June Reyno and her husband have lived in their suburban Mira Mesa home for 19 years. Reyno has now chained herself to the house to avoid being evicted.
A couple of years ago after Reyno lost her job; the couple took out an adjustable rate mortgage.
"We went from a payment of almost $4,000 a month, and as of June first 2008 it was adjusted to $5,800," Reyno said.
Reyno says she has obtained financing from a new loan but the property management company is not interested. The company says the foreclosure and the eviction have nothing to do with the new loan.
