Verify your ballot was received by mail

October 31, 2008 10:28:21 PM PDT
You can verify that your ballot was received by your county's registrar of voters.

Some people have been told their ballots won't be mailed if there's insufficient postage, but the U.S. Post Office says that's not true.

However, ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, not just postmarked. So, postal workers say if the ballots weren't in the mail on Friday, it's best to drop them off in person or just vote in person.
