Election Day vandals strike in Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, CA

Two polling places were damaged overnight along with the Democratic Party headquarters and a grass roots campaign office.

Vandals at the polling places left obscene graffiti denouncing the voting process and the candidates. The vandalism delayed voting until 8 a.m. for the polling place at 201 Nobel.

The door locks were filled with epoxy glue and a capital "A" with a circle around it was left behind, a symbol often used by anarchists.

Windows were broken at both campaign office but police say they saw no signs of forced entry.

The Santa Cruz Police Department has no suspects but is continuing their investigations.
